About Us
Max Vision Care (MVC) incorporated in October, 1996, through the California Dept. of Corporations and registered as a Professional Optometric Corporation. In early 2007, the Dept. of Managed Health Care licensed MVC as a California Specialized Vision Health Care Service Plan. As a licensed HMO, Max Vision Care is authorized by the DMHC to provide statewide coverage to members in all counties in the state.
Max Vision Care is owned and operated by Optometrists dedicated to patient care; there is no Wall Street profit component to interfere with its patient-focused purpose. To assure its success, the Optometrist owned company is assisted by Insurance Industry personnel, some with over 30-years experience.
Max Vision Care already has a very large provider panel. While panel size is important, unless there are quality plan designs at reasonable prices, it would be in vain. Therefore, Max Vision Care provides quality plans at reasonable premiums. That’s the Max Vision Care advantage: a large panel of providers from which to choose combined with fair and reasonable prices.
